History
The
University of Allahabad was the first few among Indian Universities
to offer a post graduate management programme in 1965, when
Motilal Nebru Institute of Research
& Business Administration (MONIRBA)
was set up. Today it stands as one of the premier management
institute of the country and is committed to achieving excellence
in the field of management education & research.
The
Primary mission of the educational programmes at MONIRBA
is to create a cadre of professional men & women, who
have been imparted certain skills, have learned to consider
problems from a broad managerial perspective, and, have
thereby acquired a heightened sense of moral and social
responsibility that their future positions of authority
would call far.
Apart
from being a business school, MONIRBA is a centre for advanced
research, and it also offers technical assistance and consultancy
services in areas relevant to specific industrial and business
enterprises in both public and private sectors. The Institute
has been chosen to develop and operationalize training programmes
for All India Management Association, Bharat Pumps and Compressors
Ltd., Fertilizer Corporation of India, Hindalco, Indian
Investment Centre, Indian Telephone Industries Ltd., Institute
of Engineering and Rural Technology, Institute of Management
Development, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Railways,
SBI Staff Training College, Small Industries Service Institute,
Triveni Structural Ltd., U.P. Institute of Finance &
Accounts and other leading organizations.

I
have great pleasure in placing the young executives, who
are churning out of MONIRBA. It's an annual feature of the
institute to highlight the academic attainments, specialization,
project undertaken etc. by our full time M.B.A. students.
Institutes endeavour towards continuous interaction among
the students, the entrepreneurs and the industry.
In MONIRBA, all out effort is made to promote and spread
high quality education in management, impart knowledge and
skill through rigorous training in research methodology,
project management, quantitative techniques, computer application
and other modern concepts, tools and techniques. With the
necessary infrastructure support, highly qualified faculty
supplemented by guest lectures by distinguished speakers
from industry, we provide the students, understanding of.
an organization, its culture and value systems, besides
an exposure to current business changes.
I am sure that the new batch of students have learnt to
consider problems from a broad managerial perspective, and,
have thereby acquired a heightened sense of moral and social
responsibility that their future positions of authority
would call for.
